Mount Tamborine
www.lanerealty.com.au/TamborineMt.html
The plateau is an irregular shape, about 8 kilometers long and about 5 kilometers across at its widest part. The highest point on Tamborine Mountain is about 600 metres above sea level.

Geologically it is very old. Geologists tell us that it was formed by the ancient shield volcano directly to the south. The landward remains of this immense crater can be clearly seen from the air and from a number of vantage points in the Border Ranges. Mount Warning, so named by Captain Cook as he sailed up the east coast of Australia in 1770, is just a small volcanic plug near the centre of the crater

Bushwalking

Lamington is a jewel in the crown of bushwalking destinations in south-east Queensland. It contains over 160 km of graded walking paths and a similar distance of walking trails that lead to lookouts waterfalls and some of Queensland's most significant wilderness.

Effects of the Weather

When the south-east wind blows, shower activity increases as you approach the crest of the McPherson Range and decreases to the north of O'Reilly's. The accompanying low cloud blocks out the view on top of the range making the border walks less attractive under these conditions. The higher elevation here means lower temperatures, so take something warm to wear. Summer rains bring leeches. It is wise to take some repellent with you.
Lahay's Canungra Tramway Tunnel
Laheys Canungra Tramway Tunnel
This is almost all that remains of a small lumbering tramway about 65 km south of Brisbane and East of Beaudesert.
The Lahey family arrived into the Canungra area in 1884 and built a mill to utilise the timber from a number of 'selections' granted to himself and his family. The tramway was started with a survey in 1900 and, although generally built with steep grades and sharp curves, it was constructed to 3' 6" gauge with the hope of eventually connecting to QR... at that point some 22 miles away. The tramway was dismantled in the early 1930s.

This is the amazing view of Brisbane city at the top of Mount Coo-tha. Unsure how high the mountain is but from the top you can see for miles. I will post the other views as soon as i get a chance.
Here is a view of "Advancetown Lake" situated in the mountains of the Gold Coast. Stumbled upon by accident, but honestly, I knew where I was going.
The view from Point Lookout at North Stradbroke Island
Below is the Gateway Bridge (gateway to what we have not found out yet) When or if you come to visit us, you will be driving over this bridge, at night it is an awesome sight of the city lights, and byt day its just as good.(oh you have to pay to cross this bridge as well, so have some change)
A few pictures of the city from Mount Gravatt Look Out, as you can see, the city centre is pretty bloody small.
